Organisations, Societies and Clubs
The multi-cultural nature of the students' community has led to the formation of several clubs that promote cultural events. These provide a fascinating insight into the various cultural lifestyles.
- The Baganda Nkoba za Mbogo Students Club,
- The Basoga Baino Club,
- The Bukedi Club,
- The Northern Uganda Club,
- The Western Uganda Students' Association,
- Teso Students' Club,
- The Mbale Students' Association and
- The International Students' Association
are examples of students clubs set up to celebrate and assert the cultural diversity in the university.
The French Club assists students to gain confidence and skills in the language. The students' drama and music club, in which staff members participate, has established a reputation following its well-staged productions. The Nkumba Wildlife Club is the most active wildlife club in Uganda's educational institutions. The Nkumba Rotaract Club inspires ther students to emulate the Rotary Club motto "Service above Self".
