General Information
Education in SCIAD is based on a conviction that talent in growth needs the nourishment of direction, example and challenge. The implication here is that this conviction goes far beyond one's specific training as a professional. The student is asked to respond not only as a potential artist, but also as a human being who sees a relationship between his art and his humanity and who feels the responsibility to direct his accomplishments towards the benefit of his fellow men.
All application forms for admission to courses in Art and Design courses may be obtained from the Registrar to whom they should be returned as soon as possible:- All students must attend on the first day of term for the completion of enrolment procedures and for the payment of fees. Students admitted must have passed Art at 1/ A" Level. |
| Students accepted for courses are personally responsible for the completion of enrolment forms and the payment of the full fee in advance. |
- Certificate Course (1 year duration)
- Diploma Course (2 year duration)
- Degree course (undergraduate 3 year duration)
- Postgraduate M. A. CIAO (2 years after getting a Honours B. A. (CIAO) degree).

The Library, located on the second level of the gallery building in SCIAD, is arranged for both serious study and enjoyable browsing. You will find in the shelves powerfully published books with impressive illustrations in them of the masters' works of the strong artists all over the world. Most of its books and periodicals are readily accessible in open shelves. The Library now contains many international books and every quarter new ones are added on, that describe fully the contents needed in the curriculum and beyond. |
This is a reference point that has a selection of visuals made by artists of all academic and professional levels. It is in a building that aspires to the sky with the Gothic style of building and lighting. In its exhibitions normally the shows vary from students, to post student, faculty, invited professionals and other sources and the content is really varied. The exhibitions represent the art and design disciplines.
The gallery is operated by the faculty assisted by two assistants who have a responsibility for the daily operation5 of the place including the management of records and periodical exhibitions |
