Masters of Computing and Information Systems

This programme is designed for graduates with a good first degree in computing or information technology or information systems. It is especially useful for those with an interest in getting into the IT-related job market, or who are already working in the area but would like formal training and up-to-date skills.

There is an increasing need in industry for professionals in all fields to have an in-depth knowledge of modern software tools and the principles of good software engineering. This programme provides a firm foundation in both of these areas.

This programme has been designed to provide students with new job opportunities in the computing industry. Typically, our postgraduates will find work as business analysts, web designers, systems developers or programmers, project managers, or in IT support and training.

Entry requirements

A good first degree in computing or information systems. Those who have substantial commercial or industrial experience but lack formal qualifications should seek an interview with the Head of Department and Academic Registrar,
