Nkumba University Information and Communication Technology Services department was established in September 2008. The main function was to provide and manage ICT services for Nkumba University.

The mission of NUICTS is to consistently provide high quality ICT Services that promote quality education and effective management in Nkumba University.
NUICTS seeks to be a highly professional ICT services provider to enable Nkumba University to be a leading national, regional and global hub for academic and professional excellence.

NUICTS is a technical department that offers ICT technical services to the University. It was established as a Directorate by the University Council in December 2012. The following are some of the services provided by NUICTS:

2.    Repair and Maintenance of ICT equipment.
3.    Network Administration and trouble shooting
4.    Network Installation and Configuration
5.    Software Installation and Configuration
6.    Managing IT projects e.g. Systems development
7.    Consultancy services on procurement of ICT items (providing specifications)
8.    Advice on any other IT related issues
9.    Managing computer labs
10.  Systems support (Accounts System, ARIMS and others)
11.  Internet access and availability
12.  User support (problem resolution and advice)
13.  ICT Policy implementation, revision and dissemination.
14.  Computer and Information Systems Security.
