The Department of CIT has recognized the potential of information is rapid and around national development. Nkumba University set up the Department of CIT to take necessary steps in developing IT training that fosters development for both students and the country at large.

CIT provides courses that cover a wide spectrum of training issues, including telecommunication, Banking, finance, commerce, research and others. It courses address critical needs in the areas of information, infrastructure, Internet access, software development, hardware trouble shooting, E-Commerce, Research in IT, manpower training and Education.
